Meet Chabad of Springfield

At Chabad Jewish Center of Springfield, we reach out to others with acts of goodness and kindness. We are a community based non-profit organization whose efforts are based in traditional Jewish values, namely, a love of G-d, a love of Torah, and a love for every Jew.

Chabad welcomes every Jew to experience the warmth and light of Judaism in an inviting and non-judgemental environment. We invite you to explore our site and join in our community programs, celebrations, and events.

Meet Rabbi Yossi and Nechami

Growing up, Rabbi Yossi was surrounded by Israeli tourists and guests who frequented his parent’s bustling Chabad Israeli Center in New York. From a young age, Rabbi Yossi learned the value of a genuine smile and sincere concern for one’s fellow.

Rabbi Yossi earned his undergraduate degree in Rabbinics and then subsequently completed his rabbinical ordination in 2023 at the Shaloh House of Greater Boston. There, he also successfully completed certification to officiate Jewish weddings

Rabbi Yossi holds a second degree in Rabbinics from Lman Yilmidu Academy of Tel Aviv. His accreditation is recognized both in the US and by the Rabbinate in Israel.

Nechami, hailing from the picturesque city of Petach-Tikvah in central Israel, studied towards a degree in non-conventional education. She also served as a program director for teens at risk in a high school in Northern Israel. Being the daughter of parents who are both involved in the field of mental health and therapy, she is excited to bring her passion for helping others to the community.

Together, they look forward to further developing Jewish programming in the Springfield are as well as make contact with unaffilliated Jews in the area. personally meeting you and hope you will find warmth, wisdom, and a place to call home!
